Jenny has a BFA in Scenic and Costume Design from Cornish College of the Arts, but refuses to settle on just one artistic outlet in life. This keeps her on her toes and from time to time gets her in trouble. Her work has been seen in Portland, Seattle, Chicago, and New York with companies including Portland Experimental Theatre Ensemble (PETE), Liminal Performance Group, The Late Now, Third Rail Rep, Profile Theater, Oregon Children's Theater, Shaking the Tree, Strawberry Theatre Workshop, Pushleg, Wobbly Dance, Russell J Young Photography, On the Boards, Consolidated Works, ArtsWest, & Empty Space.
She is an associate artist with PETE and has been making work with them since 2013. During that time she has done everything from building extinct birds out of zippers and velvet, fashioning ocean creatures who work in an office, concocting the scent of an arctic ship, to turning Chekhov's Yelena into a disco ball.
Other design highlights include creating lighted headdresses for local choir In Mulieribus' performance of Hildegard Von Bingen's Ordo Virtutum and collaborating with Wobbly Dance on oceanic costumes for their dance film Tidal.
She is often a guest designer at Reed College and guest teaches with Institute for Contemporary Performance, Lewis and Clark College, and Western Oregon University.
